Death hits all of us one day / I wish I never had to hear your spirit run away

I've been listening to "Dean" by Dizzee Rascal over the last few days. It's what is referred to in the music business as a "B-side". It's on the "Sirens" CD single, if you must know. Strangely, it's better than pretty much every other track on the album. It's like one of those dreamy, introspective tracks from Boy in Da Corner. I guess it didn't really fit in with the whole "British hip-hop" theme he was going for with this LP. Shame, really.

*EXPLOSION* Brand spanking stonking 125 per cent worldwide exclusive of the new video by The Streets *EXPLOSION*

That rumour about him going in a jazz funk direction obviously wasn't true.

This picture is part of a new feature on here called "Queenie's Grime Picture of the Week". Those guys above are Slew Dem Crew. You may have heard of them. This is what Queenie had to say about the picture: "I admit that I shat myself a bit when Chronik decided to show off his sword."

That Straight Cockney tune make me wanna stop listening on UK music and convert to classical orchestra stuff instead. Stormin make a great appearence in the video, pouring kids monster soda on the ground is the new way of spitting.

The Dizzee tune is great. That's the sort of Dizee-tunes I like. If that didn't get into the album, the rest of it SHOULD be awesome. But we all know that won't happen.
